| Joël Fajerman lives in Paris where he was born blessed by the sign of the Scorpio. He began his musical studies on the piano. At 13, he also learned to play the guitar as you can see on this picture of him in action during one of the band's rehearsels (including an authentic 'Davoli' amp !). Aged 17, he 'dropped out' of school and started playing gigs with a rock'n'roll band. Tours and gigs throughout Europe, turned him into a professional musician. Thus during the next 10 years he accompanied various French artsits such as : Dario Moreno, Nicoletta, Mike Brant or Claude François... | ![]() |
| In the 70's, Joël was interested by the arrival of a new instrument : the synthesizer, and became one of the very first programmers available on the Parisian market. During one of these sessions, he was noticed by a Japanese engineer from one of the leading brands, and was invited by him to perform in a series of concerts in Japan, further to which he composed his first instrumental piece in 1978. He was thirty years old. |

| In 1979 he composed the music for a new TV series called "THE ADVENTURES OF PLANTS" (awarded '7 d'or' for best documentary film) - the soundtrack being currently distributed by EUROPA RECORDS C.B. - which was programmed in over 24 countries, followed by the music for "LA CHASSE AU TRESOR" (awarded '7 d'Or' for best TV game series) which became one of the leading game shows on television along with his name in the business. He was finally admitted 'honorary member' of the SACEM in 1986, thanks to his compositions for French commercials and TV programme idents in France and abroad. In 1989, he wrote the music of 'Les Enfants de la Liberté', a french cartoon commemorating the Bicentennial of the French Revolution. |

| A few months later, he composed the music for a brand new TV series : "THE INVENTIONS OF LIFE" (13 x 26 minute episodes) for CANAL + & FRANCE 2. |

The success of the first series lead to the creation of yet a new series of 13 episodes that he composed : INVENTIONS OF LIFE II. The main themes have since been re-released on CD by BMG Spain. |
| Currently Joël has become more and more involved in the post production field. Along with original soundtracks he composes, he has also become a Sound Designer creating sounds and sound effects for films (special effects, ambiances and noises). He is equipped with a home recording facility, including a 64 track Pro-Tools
and a data base of over 10 000 original sounds. This time he was able to produce the entire soundtrack for In 2000, produced original soundtracks for the French Pavillion at the Universal Expo that took place in Hanover (Germany). In 2003, he has composed the new scores for the celebrated french series Julie Lescaut on TF1. |
